Understanding Relative Strength Index

The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is a momentum indicator used in technical analysis. It measures the speed and change of price movements to help identify overbought or oversold conditions.

When the RSI falls below 30, it might signal a potential buying opportunity as the asset is considered oversold.

An RSI reading above 70 suggests the asset is overbought, possibly indicating a selling opportunity.

When the price makes a new low, but the RSI does not, it might indicate a bullish divergence, suggesting a potential price reversal upwards.

When the price makes a new high, but the RSI does not, it might indicate a bearish divergence, suggesting a potential price reversal downwards.

-- The RSI can be used to confirm the overall trend.
